Gateway Shopping Centre – Solar Installation
Following the completion of the new 65,000sqm shopping centre, the owners commissioned the installation of a 1MW solar system on the roof. During the construction of the centre, provision was made to allow for the additional load created by the solar, as well as installing the required cabling backbone and lighting protection integration for the future system. Being a fully “screwless” roof, the solar PV system will be fixed utilising a certified clamping system, designed to withstand cyclones.
