Toshiba’s new 12,520sqm building provides office accommodation and a technical support area for advanced training and product servicing of Toshiba medical equipment to the health sector. Toshiba have invested in streamlining the distribution of their products with the installation of a ‘multi-shuttle’ sortation system by Dematic, for the efficient handling and sorting of products. The office, which sits primarily within the warehouse, has been designed to enable expansion of the first floor at a later stage whilst minimising disruption to the ongoing operations. Incorporating a number of environmentally sustainable design initiatives, the new facility for Toshiba achieved a 5-Star Green Star (Design and As-Built) industrial rating. Construction was completed by Qanstruct.
